- TINYPLAY DOCUMENTATION
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
-
- TinyPlay was written to enable the easy playing of standard Amiga IFF 8SVX
- sound samples, Soundtracker/Noisetracker modules and Octamed modules.
- TinyPlay will automatically detect the type of file you are attempting to
- play and will play it accordingly.
- TinyPlay has two modes of operatins, either through a file selector or as a
- default tool.
- It was written in about five minutes this morning when I was bored! So
- don't expect it to set your world alight!
-
-
-
- System Requirements
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- TinyPlay should work on ALL Amigas no matter what the specification, if it
- doesn't work on yours then I'll be VERY surprised!
-
-
-
- Using TinyPlay with a file selector
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- To use TinyPlay with a file selector either click on the TinyPlay icon or
- execute TinyPlay from a script (or startup-sequence).
- TinyPlay will try to use the ASL file requester, so ensure that you have the
- ASL Library in your Libs directory, however if the ASL library is not
- present then TinyPlay will automatically use a standard Amiga requester.
-
-
-
- Using TinyPlay as the default tool
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- To use TinyPlay as a default tool (so that the sound/module is automatically
- played by Tinyview when the sounds/modules icon is clicked on follow the
- steps below.
- Simply click once on the pictures icon and select 'Information' from the
- Workbench Icon menu (Right Amiga I), select the 'Default tool' box and
- enter 'TinyPlay', press return and save the information.
- TinyPlay will then load and play the desirec sound/module automatically.
- Please note that when you enter the 'default tool' then the full pathname
- must be specified if TinyPlay is not present in the root directory.
- i.e - Workbench:C/TinyPlay
-
-
-
- Why TinyPlay?
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- TinyPlay has been written as a simple, easy to use sample/module player,
- either by using a file requester or specifying it as the default tool, more
- importantly it has been written to be as small as possible, TinyPlay is only
- 15,660 bytes long (16K), in order to squeeze onto a disk.
-
-
-
- DISCLAIMER
- ~~~~~~~~~~
- TinyPlay is supplied 'as is', I accept no responsibility for the performance
- of Tinyview or and problems arising from it's use.
- (However I can not envisage any circumstances where the use of TinyPlay will
- cause any problems).
