  6. TinyPlay was written to enable the easy playing of standard Amiga IFF 8SVX
  7. sound samples, Soundtracker/Noisetracker modules and Octamed modules.
  8. TinyPlay will automatically detect the type of file you are attempting to
  9. play and will play it accordingly.
  10. TinyPlay has two modes of operatins, either through a file selector or as a
  11. default tool.
  12. It was written in about five minutes this morning when I was bored!  So
  13. don't expect it to set your world alight!

  19. TinyPlay should work on ALL Amigas no matter what the specification, if it
  20. doesn't work on yours then I'll be VERY surprised!

  24. Using TinyPlay with a file selector
  25. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  26. To use TinyPlay  with a file selector either click on the TinyPlay icon or
  27. execute TinyPlay from a script (or startup-sequence).
  28. TinyPlay will try to use the ASL file requester, so ensure that you have the
  29. ASL Library in your Libs directory, however if the ASL library is not
  30. present then TinyPlay will automatically use a standard Amiga requester.

  34. Using TinyPlay as the default tool
  35. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  36. To use TinyPlay as a default tool (so that the sound/module is automatically
  37. played by Tinyview when the sounds/modules icon is clicked on follow the
  38. steps below.
  39. Simply click once on the pictures icon and select 'Information' from the
  40. Workbench Icon menu (Right Amiga I), select the 'Default tool' box and
  41. enter 'TinyPlay', press return and save the information.
  42. TinyPlay will then load and play the desirec sound/module automatically.
  43. Please note that when you enter the 'default tool' then the full pathname
  44. must be specified if TinyPlay is not present in the root directory.

  49. Why TinyPlay?
  50. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  51. TinyPlay has been written as a simple, easy to use sample/module player,
  52. either by using a file requester or specifying it as the default tool, more
  53. importantly it has been written to be as small as possible, TinyPlay is only
  54. 15,660 bytes long (16K), in order to squeeze onto a disk.
